Cramlington
Community High School has been officially described as 'an exciting
place to learn'. The story of its pioneering work with accelerated
learning is told in Creating An Accelerated Learning
School.
If you have
been intrigued by the possibilities of accelerated learning but have
not been sure how to start to implement it; if you have yet to be
persuaded that accelerated learning can be robust enough to
transform learning in your school; if you want to know what
objective evidence there is for the success of the approach, then
this book is for you.
In Creating
An Accelerated Learning School you will read how one school took
the ideas of accelerated learning and made them successful. The
co-authors describe in detail the origins of their approach, from
the earliest ideas, and take us through what they did to final
success. The UK Schools' Inspectorate described the approach as
'bold and innovative'.
Creating An
Accelerated Learning School is packed with strategies for whole
school, departmental and classroom level improvement. It is
thoroughly researched and practically proven. It provides hundreds
of ideas and resources. This is the book that moves beyond theory.
