In November 2002 we brainstormed a
vision of what we wanted student experience of ICT to be in the near
future.
In a sense, the exercise was very
similar to the way we prepared ourselves to apply for Science College
Status.
Effectively we were saying, if this
CCHS was an ICT College, what would we expect to be able to see students
doing to enhance their learning by using ICT? Not so much in terms of the
taught ICT curriculum, but in the broader student learning experience. In
what ways would ICT permeate every aspect of student learning and teaching
methodology? How would excellence be evident?
In broad terms we identified five key
aspects of ICT activity and considered how they would be evidenced.
The five key aspects that we saw
students being able to use ICT confidently and appropriately to do are
shown opposite.
