Activity 1 - Using the Layers exercise students should create a table in word with the 5 questions in the left column and their responses in the right. They may wish to print out the photo to work from.

Activity 2 - Students should now think about their WANTS and NEEDS in life. They should consider social, economic, environmental and moral aspects. Each student should now produce an inspirations diagram with a digital photo of themselves at the centre (see example). Digital cameras connect via a small USB cable to the front PC.  See Mr Askew and book out (put the photo's into the 'shared work folder under 'L2L folder' and create a folder for your group.
NB this activity can be done with just the student name at the centre of the diagram if necessary.

Opportunities for ICT?

The key needs in life - food, shelter, water & freedom should be seen as our RIGHT. However our wants must not be taken at the expense of others. It is our RESPONSIBILITY to current and future generations not to overuse or damage the environment for others.
