powerpoint. An introduction to Global
Citizenship. What does a citizen of the 21st century look like? How to read photo's. Look at this 'Layers of meaning' framework. Discuss some
possible responses with students. Think about the wants and needs of the boy in the photo. |

Opportunities for ICT? |
Activity 1 - Using the Layers exercise students should create a table in word with the 5
questions in the left column and their responses in the right. They may wish to print out
the photo to work from.Activity
2 - Students should now think about their WANTS and NEEDS in life. They should consider
social, economic, environmental and moral aspects. Each student should now produce an
inspirations diagram with a digital photo of themselves at the centre (see example). Digital cameras connect via a small USB
cable to the front PC. See Mr Askew and book out (put the photo's
into the 'shared work folder under 'L2L folder' and create a folder
for your group.
NB this activity can be done with just the student name at the centre of the
diagram if necessary. |
