Our Reputation

Over the years CCHS has gained a national reputation as a dynamic and innovative school, committed to finding the best methods of teaching to promote effective learning. This is just one of the reasons why we have been given ‘Leading Edge School’ status and why OFSTED inspectors described us as ‘a strikingly successful school’ and ‘an exciting place to learn’ In the Chief Inspector of Schools Annual Report 2003 the school was identified as “outstanding”.

Everything we do as a school is aimed at achieving the best possible opportunities for students to learn effectively. We try to cater for individual learning styles and we make use of the latest ICT equipment to help students to take an active part in their own education.

Interactive whiteboards in every classroom enable teachers to create a stimulating environment with all the resources of the Internet available at the touch of a button.

“Cramlington Community High School is the best state school I have seen for combining ICT with teaching and learning”. Gordon Dryden, author of The Learning Revolution which has sold a million copies.
