Raise Attainment at Key Stage 4

In 2002 we achieved 61% of students reaching Grade C or better in their GCSE or GNVQ exams. Our College target for 2003 was 75%. We hit 67%, the school’s best ever performance in Science at Key Stage 4.

Good though the result was, we have identified many ways in which we can better performance at Key Stage 4, to bring this in line with the Science College target.

Certainly we will be developing interactive, online materials, similar to those in use at Key Stage3. These will have the effect of extending learning time. Students will be able to access our facilities on Wednesday afternoons, to work through the independent tutorials.
